Western N.C. Society of American Magicians

Welcome to the Western North Carolina Society of American Magicians, Assembly #289. Located in beautiful Asheville N.C., nestled amongst the Great Smoky Mountains, WNCSAM consist of magicians from the tri-state area dedicated to the art of magic and upholding the standards of the Society of American Magicians, magic's oldest and most respected organization.

Our Mission:
The Western North Carolina Society of American Magicians offers the opportunity to unite and associate local magic enthusiasts with others in the area. It's not a prerequisite that one be a professional performer to belong to WNCSAM, as amateurs, manufacturers, magic dealers, book authors and magic collectors are all esteemed members of the S.A.M.    

With over 250 assemblies worldwide, it's own monthly publications, and annual conventions, the S.A.M. provides an unmatched forum for the advancement of magic through discussions, lectures, research, performances, and an active exchange of magic secrets within the magic community. 

If you are seriously interested in the Art of Magic, then follow in the footsteps of many of the most recognizable names in the history of magic -  legends like Harry Houdini, Harry Blackstone, Jr., Siegfried & Roy, Lance Burton and David Copperfield  -  by joining the most prestigious magical organization in the world - The Society of American Magicians.
